The Internet functions by trafficking data packets across
a multitude of communications nodes across the globe. Threats
to distributed applications originate in these nodes as these
are vulnerable to unauthorised and malicious access in the
form of data interception, disruption of operations and the
generation of fraudulent input.
Increasingly, businesses that involve transmitting sensitive
data such as online financial transactions are under attack
from security risks in a distributed world. Ergo, data and
communications confidentiality must be guaranteed 24/7 in
the telecommunications age.
Security infrastructure to counter online hazards includes
access authorisation mechanisms, encryption standards, and
certification protocols. Eon Technologies deploys the security
frameworks/ technologies mentioned below in its solution architectures:
Platform Security
To develop and execute mission-critical applications, Eon
Technologies ensures safe and secure platform environment
for its customers. With the help of Compile-time data type
checking and automatic memory management, we ensure a more
robust code and reduced memory corruption and other vulnerabilities.
Cryptography
Comprehensive API with support for a wide range of cryptographic
services including digital signatures, message digests, ciphers
(symmetric, asymmetric, stream & block), message authentication
codes, key generators and key factories. Support for a wide
range of standard algorithms including RSA, DSA, AES, Triple
DES, SHA, PKCS#5, RC2, and RC4.
LDAP
LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is used to look
up encryption certificates, pointers to printers and other
similar services on a network. This provides "single sign-in"
facility to the user where a user can use single password
to access multiple services. LDAP is appropriate for any kind
of directory-like information, where there are no frequent
lookups and updates.
We use LDAP for single username and password authentication
that allows the user to access various intranet applications
available.
Currently we are working to develop a LDAP application to
authenticate Bankflex Mac users (admin module for channel
solutions). By using LDAP, user's privileges on system are
determined to provide the scope of accessibility to the application.
Use of LDAP will make our product/applications more robust
and secure.
Authentication and Access
Control
Enables single sign-in of multiple authentication mechanisms
and fine-grained access to resources based on the identity
of the user or code signer.
Secure Communications
Transport Layer Security (TLS), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL),
Kerberos (accessible through GSS-API), and the Simple Authentication
and Security Layer (SASL). Full support for HTTPS over SSL/TLS
is also included.
Public Key Infrastructure
(PKI)
Using advanced tools for managing keys and certificates, we
enable easy development and deployment of complex PKI applications.
Two-factor Authentication
Our solutions are compatible with security products of world’s
leading security solution providers, like RSA SecurIDŽ two-factor
authentication.
